Lowell works as a Module Engineering Lead in the Large Tractor and Crop Care Operator Station (cab) group, responsible for the engineering team that delivers all new product program updates. He has held various engineering roles over his career in different technical areas, but loves the dynamic, customer-facing, and globally-connected Operator Station group. Lowell finds great fulfillment in the work that he does, and has been awarded 3 prestigious Innovation Awards and has 4 U.S. Patents granted to-date.
Lowell has served the last 2 years of his 4-year term as the board's president. While not interested in the title, what drives Lowell is the role of bringing together the opinions and perspectives of board members to drive better engagement and create better results for our district.
Lowell has the honor of also serving on the Cedar Falls CAPS Advisory Board. He believes that CAPS is precisely the sort of educational augmentation component necessary in the 21st-century for students to find their purpose in an ever-changing, dynamic world. He is in the process of getting a CAPS project started at John Deere with the goal of building a strong and lasting partnership there to bolster CAPS presence in the Cedar Valley.
